Redefining Lyme
Odd Balls Odd Balls ![]() "The crazy lives of two women, their mental issues, Lyme disease and YARN." Episode #7 - Coming Soon A Note from Keri: So I’m in the middle of editing episode 7. The reason it’s taking me so long is because it is twice as long as we usually record. There is a very good reason for this as you will find out when I finally get the damn thing done. Thanks for you patience and please don’t lose faith because I promise we are getting better. Episode #"5.5" (2-27-07) Listen to this episode on your media player Show Notes: Sorry for the delay… In this episode we are quite obviously more relaxed with the whole podcasting thing. And a little bit loud. And we talk a little fast. Just a little. Sorry. We will get better I promise. Also, we find out a thing or two about one another that neither of us knew before. Please forgive the rampant freaking out. In the Slice of Lyme, we discuss nutrition, and how it applies to Lyme and other illnesses. One more thing. Since recording this episode we have gotten some pointers about podcasting, so for those who need to get caught up to speed, here are some references for who/what we are talking about: I (LE) am agoraphobic, obsessive-compulsive, and have post-treatment/chronic Lyme Disease. I am married to Mr. E. Keri is bi-polar, among other things. Kyle is Keri’s 8 year old son, Josh is her husband, Marie is her toddler daughter. They are Mormon (not Molly Mormon, but still Mormon) and are having money problems so severe that they require help from their church to buy food. Glad you’re caught up. On to the links. Well … not really… Mad Menagerie - This is the band that my twin sister and I used to sing for. We don’t have a link. Sad, I know. We’ll figure something out if anyone is interested in the band. Dodgers Link - Again, not so much a link as some info. The Dodger game for which my sister and I sang the National Anthem for was on August 23, 1993. That just happened to be very shortly after Roseanne Barr pulled her infamous stunt.... For more show notes, as well as pictures referenced in the show, go to onecrazystitch.podbean.com. Episode #5 (2-5-08) Listen to this episode on your media player Show Notes: This episode referred to the following websites: Website of the Week: Lyme Net Europe Side Notes: We really go off on a few tangents this week. I happened to mention that I was having a relatively good "bad week" ... I lied. Once again, I crashed after we taped the episode, and then my neck went out a few days after that. I am happy to report, however, that I am faring much better now. We provided links this time to information on pantheism and humanism, as well, as I have mentioned both terms more than once in passing and we covered Keri's religious background in last week's notes. See, Christians and heathens can be best friends.... ![]() Episode #4 (1-31-08) Listen to this episode on your media player Show Notes: This episode referenced the following websites: Official and Crappy Avatar Site Distant Horizon Awesome Avatar fansite Dyeing to Knit by Elaine Eskesen CDC: Lyme Disease -- U.S. 2003-2005Lyme: A Different Approach Side Notes: Wow ... we've already gotten over 150 downloads!!! We must be doing something right! It seems that the two of us are beginning to get more comfortable in front of the mic, as well ... PMS, anyone? Also, we included information about the LDS church for those interested, considering the role it plays in Keri's life and the help it offered her and her family in their time of need. I am not a member, nor am I a Christian, but I am eclectic ... Odd Balls is eclectic. It's a good thing. ![]() For more information, additional show notes, and pictures, visit us at our main site. For more information on the Lyme/relapsing fever/co-infection diagnostic debacle, see my essay, A Different Approach. Side Note: Keri seems to think that she went on and on about her projects this week ... I think her projects, her insights, and all of the fun links she brings with it all each week are what makes Odd Balls so fun and informative. So, THERE, Keri! ;-p Episode #2 (1-14-08) Listen to this episode on your media player Show Notes: This episode referenced the following websites: Side Notes: As noted before, we are still climbing the learning curve and have experienced a few technical difficulties with our first two episodes. A short note about that from Keri: Show #1 had no end music. And it was in the wrong format. (Which I fixed.)As always, we would like to thank Mad Menagerie for providing the music.
